In accordance with legal regulations, criteria, and European standards, the Faculty of Industrial Engineering Novo mesto:

  • continuously monitors the quality, competitiveness, and efficiency of its activities, which include educational, scientific research, and professional work;
  • plans periodic self-evaluations;
  • collects and analyzes data on student learning outcomes, overall educational performance, and related activities;
  • identifies deficiencies in the implementation of its activities and deviations from planned actions and achievements;
  • involves all employees, students, and other relevant stakeholders in the assessment of the quality of its operations.

The use of standards is essential for the effective management of the system. Quality standards represent the expected performance level and can also serve as clear and unambiguous statements of expected quality. The faculty’s quality standards are based on NAKVIS criteria and cover six areas:

  • integration into the environment;
  • functioning of the higher education institution;
  • staff;
  • students;
  • material conditions (facilities, equipment, library and information services, and financing);
  • quality assurance, innovation, and development orientation.

Study programmes are also evaluated based on the organization and implementation of education.

We adhere to the following regulations and guidelines governing accreditation and quality in higher education: the Criteria for Accreditation and External Evaluation of Higher Education Institutions and Study Programmes, the Manual for NAKVIS Experts, as well as other criteria, standards, and acts adopted by the NAKVIS Council or published on the agency’s official website. In addition, we follow the Higher Education Act (ZViS), the Act on Professional and Scientific Titles, and the General Administrative Procedure Act.
