Tutoring

Tutoring is a method of providing support to students in their studies and academic development. Within tutoring, a student receives assistance throughout their studies, including help with individual subjects or professional practice, guidance on selecting learning methods and strategies, advice on finding information and literature related to the tutored subject, support in shaping elective course components, and encouragement to participate in extracurricular activities.

A tutor can be any university teacher, staff member, or student of FINI, except for first-year students.

Professional Internship

Professional internship is a part of student education where students apply the knowledge gained in lectures to the industry within a work environment and become familiar with the characteristics of business operations, organization, and teamwork. The goal of the professional internship is the application of theoretical knowledge acquired during the study process in a direct work environment. The student encounters real company activities, uses theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems, and develops professional skills.

The professional internship program enables the student to:

  • Get to know a specific work environment,
  • Understand the organization and business operations of the company,
  • Gain detailed insight into the company’s production program,
  • Join a work team and begin to familiarize themselves with tools, devices, machines, and technologies,
  • Perform various tasks related to their professional field,
  • Learn about the maintenance of production equipment,
  • Become acquainted with the management of technical documentation,
  • Under mentor guidance, plan and create a project for production management considering the economic analysis of production costs,
  • Learn methods of quality assurance,
  • Understand standard methods, procedures, and processes of total quality management.

After completing the professional internship, students must submit a seminar project in which they address concrete practical problems related to processes in the automotive industry, energy processes, maintenance of production equipment and systems, product development, computer-aided engineering, total maintenance, process quality, product and system development, system diagnostics, environmental protection, information systems, and more.

The professional internship is completed in the 3rd year, consisting of up to 360 hours or 45 working days in a partner organization in a real work environment, combined with individual consultations for reflecting on the acquired experience, which the student presents in a professional internship report. The internship may be carried out in local organizations or abroad. The organization and monitoring of the internship are managed in cooperation between the internship coordinator, the student affairs office, and the mentors supervising the work practice.
